1).Bull’s testes and penis soup
Omg! This soup was really mind-blowing! Can you imagine eating a dish made up from bull’s testes and penis? This dish is not for those whose stomach turns off at exotic dishes. Cebuanos called it as “lanciao” they believed that anyone who takes the soup will have the physical attributes of a bull.

2). Kamaru( from Pampanga )
This dish can make you scream as if you have entomophobia ( insect phobia ). It is made from mole/rice crickets. As you bite the crunchy crickets there’s a juice coming out from their abdomen which will make you say “yuck”.
3). Tamilok ( from Palawan )
If you have plans to visit Palawan, tourist guides will probably offer you to try this one. This is marinated in a mixture of vinegar,chili and onions.Tamilok is usually found in wooden structures and mangroves. This is a must try exotic delicacy that will complete your Palawan adventure.

4). Etag or Binurong Baboy ( from Cordillera )
Etag is known as Sagada’s (one of the tourist spots in PH) ham. It’s smell will really make you turn back. Made up from native pork that is cured by smoking in jars for several days.You’ll see the dark and rotting pork with maggots crawling in it. The final product is not exactly not for the faint at heart. However, Cordillerans won’t be complete without this local meat.

5). Betute ( from Pampanga )
This kapampangan delicacy is made from deep fried farm frogs stuffed with pork,garlic and spices. It tastes like chicken and it’s smell will make you crave. This is a must try when dining in Pampanga. You have to try it.

6). Adobong Balut
Balut is a common street food in the Philippines, it is boiled fertilized duck egg with 90days old embryo inside. To make it unique, balut is combined with adobo for some twist. You’ll definitely love this dish.

7). Dinuguan or Blood Stew Known as chocolate meat
Dinuguan is made from meat and innards of pork and cooked in blood. This is stirred continuously until it has the consistency of a chocolate. Dinuguan is lightly sour as it is added with vinegar,green pepper and whole peppercorns.

8). Bayawak or Monitor Lizard
You should add this up on your list of foods to try. Monitor lizard can be cooked in many ways either adobo, sautéed or cooked in coconut milk (ginataan). They say that it tastes like a chicken and you’ll forget that you’re actually eating a lizard.

9). Farm Rats
Yeah! You see it right! Rats are eaten but not every kind of it though it is considered as pest. Farm rats from rice field known as dagang bukid is one of the shocking exotic foods in the Philippines. These farm rats are skinned,head cut off,innards taken out and grilled. It can be also cook in many ways just like the monitor lizard.

10). Adobong Uok
Beetle larvae may give you a “yuck” feeling but you’ll gonna change your mind if this is cooked in adobo style with some tomatoes on it. Uok can be found in dead coconut logs. This creepy creature is eaten raw by some of the natives there.It is not eaten in an ordinary way. You need to removed the head first before sipping the inside of it.
